Content Guidelines

We create songs that are respectful, heartfelt, and suitable for the occasion they're written for. To keep every song safe, appropriate, and legally sound, we follow these guidelines:

What we create:

Original lyrics and compositions written specifically for your story
Songs in the spirit or general style of a genre or era you request

What we don't create:

Profanity, explicit content, or harmful, hateful, or discriminatory themes
Songs that impersonate or clone the voice or likeness of a real, identifiable person without their consent
Direct reproductions or close imitations of existing copyrighted songs, lyrics, or melodies
Content involving private medical, legal, or highly sensitive personal details
Content intended to harass, defame, or mislead a specific individual

We reserve the right to decline or adjust requests that fall outside these guidelines. Each custom song includes one free revision within these guidelines.

Client Song Rights & Usage

When you purchase a custom song, you receive a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use your song for personal or professional purposes. You may share it publicly, post it online, play it at events, or include it in personal or business projects.

You may not:

Resell the song as a standalone product
Claim authorship of the underlying composition
Distribute the song as part of a music catalog or library

Lifesongwriters retains ownership of the underlying composition and production process.

Refund Policy

Custom songs are handcrafted and personalized based on the details you provide. Because each piece is uniquely created for you, payments are non-refundable once work has begun. If you request a cancellation before songwriting starts, a partial refund may be available.

Liability Disclaimer

Lifesongwriters provides custom songs for personal and celebratory use. Our services do not include legal, medical, therapeutic, or professional advice. We are not responsible for how songs are interpreted, shared, or used by third parties. By purchasing a custom song, you agree that Lifesongwriters is not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the use or distribution of your song.
